SPORTS CITY
Dax is a very sporty city considering its many facilities, the number of licensees and clubs and associations very active in most disciplines. From Pierre Albaladéjo to Raphaël Ibañez to a multitude of French rugby players, Dax can also boast of having seen one day or another play on its pitch such glories of national sport. The city of Dax has since 2012 the label “Common Sport For All”.
Since 2008, the city has been committed to renovating existing facilities, such as the Sablar tennis courts, as well as building new facilities such as the new Colette Besson stadium, which now houses amateur sportsmen and school children in optimal conditions. The city also has the Stade Maurice-Boyau as a sports facility. It hosts the championship games of the professional rugby team as well as various amateur disciplines. The 4 courses of discovery trails of Barthes are a nice health walk on the edge of the Adour.
